These kits take the stress out of “how do I help?” and turn learning into fun, family connection time.
Each kit is packed with almost everything you need and is made for your child’s grade level. No fancy degrees or expensive supplies required—just your curiosity and a little time together.
How to Make the Most of Your S.T.E.A.M. Kit at Home:
- Make It a Special Time: Pick a calm time, like after dinner or on a weekend afternoon. Turn off the TV, put phones on silent, and let your child know this is your special project time. Your attention is the most important ingredient!
- Explore Together: Open the kit and look at the materials with your child. Read the simple instructions out loud. Don’t worry about being an expert—the goal is to figure it out as a team. It’s okay to say, “I don’t know, let’s try it and see what happens!”
- Ask, Don’t Tell: Instead of giving the answer, ask questions. “What do you think will happen if we mix these?” “How can we make this tower taller without it falling?” “What color should we make our creation?” This builds their critical thinking.
- Celebrate the Mess and the “Oops!”: Learning is messy! Spills, sketches that go outside the lines, and first tries that flop are all part of the process. The word “failure” isn’t in our kits—we call them “First Attempts In Learning.” Laugh together and try again.
