P.T.A.

The acronym P.T.A. commonly stands for the “Parent Teacher Association.” For us at Creative Purpose Tempe, though, it embodies “People Taking Action!” Much like the committed Parent Teacher Association empowers communities, we are uniting to create meaningful change. Over the past eight months, we have passionately engaged with our community. We have gathered support for our transformative Title One School initiative. Together, we can pave the way for a brighter future. We can make a lasting impact on the lives of our children. Join us in this crucial effort to empower our schools and uplift our community!

Teachers have provided us with a template for our “homework kits.” Their supply list is clear and concise, including items such as pens, pencils, rulers, protractors, and index cards. However, their requests are not limited to just the students. We also inquired about which items they would include on their “wish list”—specifically, their classrooms.

Some of the items requested were simple and basic. They included dry-erase markers, storage bins, board games, beakers for science projects, and even coffee makers. The budget allocated for these requests is $150, which is not a large amount. However, by providing these items, we can help reduce the “out-of-pocket” expenses that they are all too familiar with.

The teaching profession is not one of glamour and decadence. It is one of love and caring. Most teachers see no other way than to foot the bill. They do this to make sure their students can fulfill their potential. Creative Purpose Tempe has been diligently working to raise the necessary funds. They have been doing this since July of 2024. Their goal is to grant a few wishes this July.

June 29th is our final push. We are on the path to achieving our goal of $1,920! You may buy a t-shirt or tote bag, create a “Teacher Appreciation Gift Box,” or simply donate what you can. Every little bit helps push us closer to the finish line.
