STRENGTH IN PINK

Honoring the Educators in the Fight

This October, the world turns pink to raise awareness for breast cancer. 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime? 43% of those women will be educators. Educators, teachers for that matter, are a group that holds our communities together. The classroom is their stage. Yet, for a teacher facing a breast cancer diagnosis, the battle moves to a frightening new arena.

That’s why our “Strength in Pink” campaign is dedicated to supporting educators at every step of their journey. We recognize the unique burden they carry. They manage their health while worrying about their students and their classrooms. They also face the financial strain that often accompanies treatment.

After careful research, we have selected The Coalition of Blacks Against Cancer as our official beneficiary for this year’s fundraiser.

The Coalition of Blacks Against Cancer is committed to support, education, and outreach. Their goal is to increase the survival rates of Black individuals diagnosed with breast cancer. National survival rates for breast cancer are significantly lower in Black populations, even at early stages. The coalition aims to improve these numbers. They offer valuable information to the Black community. These topics cover everything from cancer screening to diagnosis and treatment. As educators know all too well, education is a powerful tool!

Our educators have shown us immense strength. Now, it’s our turn to show them they don’t fight alone. By purchasing our “Strength in Pink,” you are directly helping a teacher. You help a counselor or a school administrator keep their life afloat during the storm of breast cancer.

Join us in wrapping our community around these incredible individuals. Your contribution offers more than financial aid. It offers hope and stability. It also sends the powerful message that we see their strength and we are with them.

100% of proceeds will be donated. Know someone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer? For more information or to make a donation directly, click the link below.
